Shaun, who is a two-time Olympic gold medallist, uploaded a video to YouTube of his makeover process, which he titled It’s Only Hair.
On his way to get his hair cut, Shaun tells the camera: ‘I have been thinking about this for a while. But it’s for a good cause, so I’m going to do it.’

When he arrives, he admits to his hair stylist: ‘I’m a little nervous. You got to go easy on me.’
At one point when his ponytail is almost gone, the 26-year-old appears to get cold feet and asks to ‘stop’, but it’s too late.
However he seems to feel he made the right decision by opting to donate his tresses when he looks at the results of his new ‘do.

He reportedly grew tired of his nickname, after embracing it at first and even sporting headbands with a Flying Tomato logo.
Earlier this month it was reported that Shaun has just dropped $3.85 million on a beach home in Encinitas, California.

'Say no to muffin tops': Kendra Wilkinson blogs about slimming tips for Christmas season

Kendra Wilkinson has revealed her top tips to stay in shape over Christmas.
The former Playboy model wants to enjoy the festive season by eating, drinking and being merry but she doesn't want to put on too much weight.
Kendra intends to limit the amount of calorie laden canapes she eats and has a plan for meal times to avoid overeating.
In a blog post titled Say No To Muffin Tops, she wrote: 'Between Christmas cookies and cocktail parties, plus all the heavy holiday meals in between, it can be easy to put on a few pounds during the holiday season. Don't let it happen!

'Here's how to make it to 2013 with a flat belly ... Start every day with breakfast and a short workout. Eating breakfast will rev up your metabolism for the day and a short run or a 20-minute yoga session in the morning boosts your energy and keeps your appetite in check for the rest of the day.
'Never go to a party hungry. Eat a small meal before attending cocktail parties, dinner parties, or any events where food will be served. Holiday appetisers are usually fried, stuffed with cheese, or full of sugar. Taste what you want but never make a meal of party appetisers.'
Kendra - who has a three-year-old son Hank Jr. with her husband Hank Baskett - also plans to pace herself when she is drinking alcohol by drinking water in between and has urged her fans to do the same.

The 27-year-old blonde beauty recommends switching to a low calorie drink as well after enjoying a few glasses of your favourite seasonal cocktail.
She added: 'You need to drink lots of water! Particularly if you're drinking cocktails, pace yourself and drink a glass of water between alcoholic beverages.
'If you're drinking cocktails, have a few sips of your favourite seasonal drink, like eggnog, or apple cider, then switch to something lower calorie like vodka soda with a lime wedge.'

Now Ke$ha claims she was 'forced' to sing Die Young lyrics (but took full credit for song weeks before Sandy Hook massacre)

Ke$ha has attempted to distance herself from her own song Die Young in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
The outspoken singer has blasted her hit song Die Young - which was pulled from a huge number of radio playlists following the shooting last week - claiming she was forced to sing the controversial words and always thought the content was inappropriate.
Writing a message on her Twitter page on Monday, the 25-year-old hitmaker said: 'I had my very own issues with 'die young' for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO.'
The blonde singer also posted a message, saying: 'I'm so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy. And I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express.'
She continued: ‘I’m so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected (sic) by this tragedy. And I understand why my song is now inappropriate. Words cannot express.’
The song's hard-hitting lyrics include: 'Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young. We're gonna die young. We're gonna die young.'
But her statement contradicts comments she made in an interview several weeks ago where she took full credit for the song.
TMZ reports she told New York radio station 95.5 WPLJ in November: 'I definitely make sure that every word rings true to me because I would never want to misrepresent myself to millions of people around the world ... I wrote and wrote and rewrote that song ten times.'
The singer has been subjected to abuse about the song on her social networking site.
She is is listed as a co-writer of Die Young along with the lead singer of fun., Nate Ruess. It was produced by Dr. Luke, who has penned hits from Britney Spears, and Benny Blanco.

Christina Aguilera celebrates turning 32... dressed as a sexy Santa in a plunging T-shirt (and not a lot else)

Let's hope Christina Aguilera has asked Santa for some new clothes this year.
A bra and some trousers would be a good start, after the singer headed out dressed in little more than a ripped T-shirt, Santa hat and fishnet stockings on Tuesday.
The star, celebrating her 32nd birthday, was seen exiting The Voice's afterparty looking decidedly festive.

Known to push the boundaries with her sometimes questionable outfits, Christina did just that.
The star wore a glittering bib necklace and red lipstick that added to her palette of heavy show make-up.

The Burlesque star earlier in the day was sporting white feathered epaulettes with silver chains, a platinum blonde wig cut into a bob and her trademark fan.
The singer, who had no contestants left on the Voice, was rejoicing in the fact that it was her 32nd birthday.
‘Yeah it’s my birthday,’ she squealed before the acts went on, and country singer Cassadee Pope was crowned the winner.

Not seen during the festivities was Aguilera's son Max, who turns five in January, and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler, a musician and production assistant she met on the set of Burlesque in 2010.

The Voice judge was last seen with her two favourite men last Thursday when the loved-up pair took little Max to see Santa Claus at The Grove.
Aguilera may feel the need to celebrate now, however, after a  federal judge on Monday sentenced a man who hacked into the personal online accounts of the singer and several other celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson and Mila Kunis.
U.S. District Judge S. James Otero sentenced Christopher Chaney to ten years in prison in Los Angeles after hearing from Aguilera.
'That feeling of security can never be given back and there is no compensation that can restore the feeling one has from such a large invasion of privacy,' she said.  Awww shucks: Christina was celebrating her 32nd birthday on the show and received adorable messages from her fellow judges

Cover girl Kerry Washington shows off her perfect figure as she defends her decision to play a slave in Django Unchained

As she poses in stockings and suspenders, her long legs crossed, Kerry Washington shows off her perfect hourglass figure.
The actress plays cover girl on the cover of Uptown Girl, showing just why she was picked to star in Quentin Tarantino's new movie Django Unchained.
But while the role has made Kerry's profile skyrocket, the 35-year-old admitted that the choice to play a slave could be seen as controversial.

But Kerry defended her choice, saying she hopes it shines a light on the reality of the past.
'If I were to say it's okay to play a lawyer but not a maid, or it's okay to play a professor but not a slave, that would be sort of spitting on the legacy of my grandmother, who was a maid on Park Avenue for years, or my ancestors in South Carolina, who came from slavery,' she explained.
'What's interesting about storytelling is we get to step into someone's experience for an hour and a half in the dark, and in the process of living through that journey we learn about ourselves.
'That's what it's all about to me.'

She also said she found it amazing to have just two days between shooting scenes for her political thriller Scandal and for Django.
'I went from shooting in a slave shack with my character curled up in bed, terrified about the state of her future,' she says, 'to walking in heels outside of the White House on my way to meet the president’s chief of staff.'
And Kerry's hard work has paid off, with her fans including her Django co-star Jamie Foxx.
'I can’t say enough about the brilliance and toughness of her, especially in Django, where she’s amazingly vulnerable playing this damsel in distress throwback character,' he says. 'And then you look at the strength of what she’s doing on Scandal, where she’s in control and doing her thing.'
