She's back! Madame Vastra makes her return to Doctor Who as she films scenes for the seventh series

Fans of Doctor Who have a lot to look forward to as they ready the return of the programme.
On Tuesday The Avengers star Diana Rigg popped up on the set and now pictures today from the set in Butetown, in Cardiff have confirmed that Madame Vastra will be making her return.
Dressed in a Period costume, the Silurian warrior was spotted as she got her green scales touched up as the cast filmed scenes for the episode which is rumoured to be titled The Crimson Horror.

Last month, Neve McIntosh who plays the alien appeared to dismiss reports from the Daily Star about her character making an appearance in the new series.
According to the paper the alien who was in the 2011 episode A Good Man Goes To War would become besotted with the Doctor's new assistant Jenna-Louise Coleman.
But denying reports she took to her Twitter account, her post read: 'Just to say I have no idea WHAT the Star is talking about! No-one's asked me...'

Matt Smith didn't look too far removed from his usual look in a brown tweed suit and bowler hat.
The actor appeared to be in high spirit as he waved at photographers during takes.

On Tuesday, iconic actress Diana Rigg was pictured filming a guest role on the BBC series with Matt Smith and new assistant Jenna-Louise Coleman.
The 73-year-old plays a 'Yorkshire local' in the episode which was written specifically for her.
Her daughter, Rachael Stirling, is set to star alongside her mother in the special episode and joined the cast on set later in the day.
