She told the mag: 'Like all characters that you play you feel very protective of them. I’m very fond of Lady Mary. I care about her very much. Of course I want her to find happiness.
‘The tension between Edith and Mary I don’t really get because my sisters were not vicious to each other like they’ve been. But it was always really fun to play.'

– who play Sybil, and Edith in the ITV drama – underwent the
gothic-inspired transformation for a photo shoot with fashion bible
LOVE.

Speaking about her character, she said: 'I think you’re a bit of a knob if you don’t like Lady Sybil. She’s actually taken on the class system. She does everything because her heart tells her to. I think that’s a pretty wonderful quality in somebody. She’s a sweetheart really. I love her.
'We’re all just mental. It’s too much fun... I couldn’t imagine three female actresses getting on better... We’re all around a similar age, playing sisters, so it could’ve been a nightmare... It’s just so not that. They’re both so brilliant at what they do I actually love them.'

usually ‘plain’ Lady Edith is wearing little more than a piece of
netting, and in another photo reclines on a sofa in a flamboyant gown as
she smokes a cigarette.Each of the actresses will adorn the cover of separate issues of the magazine’s autumn/winter edition.
